“I find that the families love the Family Check-Up. The feedback is such an affirming experience—even when there are problems, they are so pleased to see the videos and hear about their strengths.”
– Karleen Preator Ph.D., Supervisor, Positive Behavior Support, Head Start / Pre-K Counts
“I have found that most of the families I’ve worked with really appreciate the connection we’ve made. That connection empowers them to make changes or just to have more confidence in their parenting.”
– Cynthia Milberger MSW, Supervisor, Positive Behavior Support, Head Start / Pre-K Counts
“Myself and my husband, we really like getting the information back because of the video clips you would take, there’s things about our own personality and what we do that we don’t even know we’re doing until you see yourself doing it…. I learned that I was more nurturing and patient than I thought I was.”
– Parent
“The feedback session was very positive. We always went through the positive things, this is really working out, and these are the areas that are a concern, and then things we could do about those… what ones were the most important in my priorities to work on and the kind of steps we could take toward those.”
– Parent
